Jewel Wicker is an award-winning reporter, copywriter and editorial consultant based in Atlanta. She has previously worked as the interim managing editor and special projects editor for Teen Vogue. As the former editor-at-large for Capital B Atlanta, she consulted on the nonprofit news organization’s editorial plan, developed partnerships with new and legacy local publications, and coached reporters. She has also provided editorial coaching to The Philadelphia Inquirer’s features staff. 

As a reporter, Jewel primarily focuses on stories that intersect with entertainment and culture. Her celebrity profiles and reported features have appeared in GQ, Billboard, NBC News, The New York Times, Teen Vogue, Atlanta magazine and more. She currently hosts the weekly film & TV podcast The Boom for WABE.

In 2021, she was awarded an AMBIE and Webby for her work as a co-host and writer on the Crooked Media/Tenderfoot TV podcast “Gaining Ground: The New Georgia.”

Jewel has worked as a staff reporter for the Atlanta Journal-Constitution in Atlanta, Georgia.
